So that time of the year is just around the corner; I am going to be running around stressed and feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. Yes; final exams are just around the corner! Ohh and you all thought I was talking about the Holiday season ;)
Well since I needed a little motivation to help me push through the last couple of weeks of this semester, I decided to treat myself to a nice little pre-final-exam gift (I am allowed to invent reasons to buy myself gifts ok!). So I got Chanel Rouge Noir; the super vampy cult classic. For those of you who don't know this color was made famous in the 1990s when Uma Thurma's character wore it in Pulp Fiction, causing the polish to become a bestseller to this day.
I know some Chanel's are difficult to apply, but this one is a dream... like.. wow! I can't even think of another polish to compare to in terms of application. The first coat is very red, but the second coat makes it very dark, almost black, with strong red undertones.
All in all, I love this shade. However, and this is to be expected with anything Chanel, the price tag is high. It came up to a big $29 with tax but at least this time around the girls working the counter were very sweet and friendly. Too bad that is not always the case.
I used Essie First Base Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat.
